Worcester Park–based Trinity Homecare has partnered with The Lifestyle Edit and presenter Michelle Ford on Brooklands Radio, a community radio station for Surrey and West London. The new series explores the realities of later-life planning, care decisions and the pressures faced by families in the “sandwich generation.”
The series hopes to encourage earlier, more open conversations about care, helping to make a difficult subject feel more approachable and less overwhelming.
Across the month, Trinity’s CEO Cameron Young, Group Head of Quality and Continuous Improvement Barbara Baig, Regional Trainer Emma Bateman and Senior Care Leader Nicola Hobbs join Michelle Ford to share reflections and practical guidance drawn from their day-to-day experiences supporting families.
The discussions explore how to recognise when care at home may be needed, how to begin conversations about care in a sensitive and constructive way, and why these discussions are so important to have sooner rather than later. They also look at living well and end-of-life considerations, how families can manage changing care needs, and what it means to support someone living with dementia.
The series also helps listeners understand the differences between care at home and residential care, and how families can begin to think through what might be right for their situation.
The full series is available to stream at The Lifestyle Edit.
Based in Worcester Park and delivering care nationwide, Trinity Homecare provides tailored live-in and visiting care that enables people to remain safe, supported and independent in their own homes. With more than 25 years’ experience, the team works closely with families to provide both practical care and guidance through each stage of the care journey.
“Talking about care isn’t easy for most families, and it’s completely natural to put those conversations off,” said Cameron Young, CEO of Trinity Homecare. “What we’ve tried to do with this series is bring some openness and reassurance to topics that can feel daunting. If people feel a little clearer about their options, or a bit more prepared to support someone they love, then it will have been worthwhile.”
