Bramwell Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group, celebrated a spectacular summer extravaganza on the 20th of July. The summer fayre attracted more than 200 guests and began with a talent show called “Bramwell’s Got Talent,” where staff members and residents displayed their skills. Three residents served as judges, nominating three winners who received bottles of champagne and chocolates.
Home Manager Mable Joloza then opened the dance floor, joined by residents, families, and staff. The event featured a live DJ, music, games, a photo booth, a BBQ, food and drink stands, and a petting zoo run by the families of the residents. All attendees were dressed in Hawaiian or carnival-themed attire, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Classic games like balloon darts and a kids’ zone with face painting and goodie bags entertained everyone. The community set up various stalls selling clothing, jewellery, cakes, and plants. Prospective residents were also invited to join in the fun and experience the lively environment.
Commenting on the event, Home Manager Mable Joloza said, “I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Bramwell for organising this spectacular summer extravaganza, and thank you to all who attended and supported us with your presence and gifts. It was a huge success. Everybody enjoyed it, and the residents are asking if we can have this party every weekend.”
The summer extravaganza was a memorable day filled with music, dancing, food, and community spirit, highlighting Bramwell Care Home’s commitment to creating joyful and engaging experiences for it’s residents.
