This week, Walcot Hall proudly witnessed an inspiring act of kindness as Sam, one of the
dedicated care team members, made a significant contribution to charity by having 18 inches of
her hair cut off for the Little Princess Trust.
The charity, which provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair
due to cancer treatments and other illnesses, received this generous donation to help make a
difference in young lives.
The haircut was carried out by Molly, a local hairdresser and one of the charity’s “Hairdressing
Hairos”—the title given to the amazing professionals who support the Trust’s work. Hairdressing
Hairos play a crucial role in promoting the charity’s free wig provision service, cutting hair for
donations, and ensuring the long locks are safely sent to the Little Princess Trust.
Residents and staff gathered to show their support, cheering Sam on for her selfless act.
“Sam’s donation is a wonderful gesture, and we’re proud to see her support such an important
cause,” said Connie Hughes, Walcot Hall Manager. “It’s a great example of the kindness we see
within our community.”
Thanks to the wonderful support of the team, residents, and families, many have already
donated to this worthy cause. For those who would still like to contribute, a donation box has
been placed Walcot Hall, or you can donate via The Little Princess Trust website.
Walcot Hall would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already donated and
encourages anyone else who wishes to do so to drop by and contribute to this wonderful cause.
