Blandford Grange, a care home based in Blandford Forum, Dorset, is delighted to announce
their recent community art project, held during Care Home Open Week. The event saw an
enthusiastic turnout from both residents and community members, who came together for a
day of creativity, fun, and connection.
Participants enjoyed adding their colourful handprints to a vibrant wall mural, a project
designed to foster community spirit and showcase diversity. The mural symbolises unity and the
joy of collective creativity. It will soon be proudly displayed in the top-floor activity room, serving
as a lasting reminder of the wonderful day.
To make the day even more special, guests were treated to a delightful afternoon tea, complete
with delicious scones and refreshing beverages. The combination of art, good company, and
tasty treats made for a memorable event that highlighted the warm and welcoming atmosphere
of Blandford Grange.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in our community art project,” said
Emilie Withall, Activities Co-ordinator at Blandford Grange. “The mural is a beautiful
representation of the strong bonds we have within our community, and it will bring joy to our
residents and visitors for years to come”
Blandford Grange extends a heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to the success of the day.
The home looks forward to hosting more community events in the future and continuing to build
meaningful relationships with the local community.
