This cycling charity event takes place on the 19th of September, organised by executive search firm, Compass Carter Osborne.

The Big 100 will bring together nearly 50 cyclists from across healthcare raising money for children’s charity Spread A Smile, with riders powering through stunning Surrey for either a 100km or a 100-mile planned cycle route. This is a fully supported all-day ride with professional team leaders on each route with vehicle support.

Compass Carter Osborne’s Senior Partner, Adam Carter said, ‘’TB100 has a new home with Compass Carter Osborne, which brings together sector leaders like no other event can. There’s certainly no harm in a little healthy competition in cycling 100 miles and 100km through some of the UKs most scenic hills. We have seen this event grow and develop into one of the most anticipated events in the sector calendar, with more than 50 riders, TB100 attracts fantastic sponsors who see this as an important place in which to align their brand, network and support an amazing charity, Spread A Smile. This is the second year that Spread A Smile joins us, and it is a wonderful partnership.’’

This year’s headline sponsor is investment management and business finance firm Downing. Downing Partner, Mark Gross said: “Downing and The Downing Foundation are proud to be headline sponsor of The Big 100 cycle ride. A huge thank you to Compass Carter Osborne for organising the event; bringing professionals together from across the healthcare industry and raising money and awareness for the wonderful healthcare charity, Spread a Smile”.

For the first time, the event is delighted to welcome Triodos Bank as Gold sponsor. Commenting on their sponsorship, Mavric Webbstock, Head of Wellbeing said,“Triodos Bank is thrilled to partner with Compass Carter Osborne as we sponsor the Breakfast Briefing for The Big 100 Cycle Ride. This event brings together players from across the health and social care spectrum in a unique networking opportunity supported by like-minded sponsors who operate in the care sector. Most importantly however, proceeds from the event will benefit the amazing charity, Spread a Smile seeks to bring joy and laughter to seriously ill children, teens and their families during long hospital stays. A huge thanks to Michaela Deasy and the Compass Carter Osborne team for the opportunity to support this worthy cause, and best wishes to the riders as they enjoy The Big 100 event in support of a charity that aligns with Triodos’ mission to help create a society that protects and promotes quality of life and human dignity for all.”

Silver sponsors for this year’s event are Bevan Brittan, Fulcrum Care, Hazlewoods, JEM Property, DC Advisory, Christie & Co., SenseCheck, Colliers, Connell Consulting, Shawbrook Bank.

Lucy Jackson, Chief Executive of Spread A Smile said: “I am absolutely thrilled and honoured that Spread a Smile has been chosen as charity partner for the Compass Carter Osborne TB100 for a second year running. Last year, the team raised an incredible £16,000 which enabled us to bring smiles to the bedsides of over 540 seriously ill children. I know the team will dig deep again this year to raise as much as they can to support our work.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to the whole team at Compass Carter Osborne for their loyal support, to Downing for sponsoring the event and to all the riders taking part. We are truly grateful.”
