Between the 12th and 16th of September we are asking the social care sector to come together to celebrate the 5th Annual Professional Care Workers Week. The Care Workers Charity is proud to host this event for the 3rd year running.
Care and support workers have a challenging and rewarding job that is different every day. Over the last 2 years care workers have shown how exceptional they are. During a period of global uncertainty, the most vulnerable members of our society have been cared for in care homes, supported living facilities and in their own homes.
The social care workforce is one of the largest in the UK; those 2 million people deserve to be respected and recognised for their work. Professional Care Workers Week has been designed to bring together the sector together and to appreciate the outstanding efforts of care and support workers.
Across the four days a series of webinars and panel discussions will be available, free of charge and open to everyone. An array of speakers will be sharing their expertise and charisma on a range of exciting topics.
The importance of this event has never been more apparent. The way care workers have embraced and overcome the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic is testament to the integrity they possess when caring for people.
Karolina Gerlich, Chief Executive Officer of The Care Workers’ Charity, said, ‘We are thrilled to announce the return of Professional Care Workers’ Week this September, and hope you will join us as we bring the social care community together to raise much needed awareness of the sector and to share admiration for our incredible workforce.’
