Creative Support, a national not-for-profit provider of social care services, is delighted to announce that, following a recent inspection from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) our Teesside Homecare Services have received a rating of ‘Outstanding’.
Creative Support’s Teesside Care at Home service, provides personal care for people with a learning disability, autism, and physical disability across Stockton. We are immensely proud of the dedication and hard work from the staff team, having achieved ‘Outstanding’ overall and outstanding scores across four areas – ‘Effective’, ‘Caring’, ‘Responsive’ and ‘Well-Led’. It was noted in the overall ratings published by CQC in August 2025 that only 2% of adult social care providers receive an Outstanding rating (Appendix: Ratings charts – Care Quality Commission).
Within the inspection, Teesside Services received the top score of 100% for the key question of ‘Caring’. CQC looked for ‘evidence that the provider involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect’. The Outstanding rating meant that staff were ‘exceptional at treating people with kindness, empathy, and compassion and in how they respected people’s privacy and dignity.’
A person we support said in the report: “All the staff are so kind and caring. They go out of their way to make you happy. It is all the little things they do that makes a difference to me.” A relative of a person we support said: “All staff treat [person], me and our home with respect and understand boundaries.”
Service Director and Registered Manager for this service, Jenni Pearson-Butterfield, and Registered Service Manager, Kelly Porter, said: “We are extremely proud of our team and the dedication, compassion, and commitment they show every day to the people we support.
“While we are delighted to receive an Outstanding rating from the CQC, we have always known that the care and support provided by our team is truly exceptional. They consistently go above and beyond, ensuring that no detail is overlooked and that every individual receives the highest standard of support. Their persistence, professionalism, and determination to follow through on actions and achieve positive outcomes for the people we support are what make this recognition so special.
