Fast growing care home operator, New Care, continues to expand its team and has appointed Kad Daffe from Sherwood as centre manager for its soon-to-open care home, Ruddington Manor in Nottingham.
In his new role, Kad takes responsibility for the new state-of-the-art 66-bed care facility on Ruddington Lane, its residents and 60-strong employee team. He will work consistently to create a thriving, vibrant community based on the very best quality of care and to ensure that the home becomes renowned as a centre of excellence.
He is also tasked with ensuring the home complies with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and will oversee ongoing training and development to ensure the staff team meets New Care’s exacting standards.
No stranger to New Care, Kad has worked for the company for 18 months and was previously part of the team at The Grand in West Bridgford. At The Grand, Kad established a great reputation and forged strong relationships with residents, their families and friends and the home’s 80 plus employees.
Qualified as a registered mental nurse, Kad has worked in healthcare for more than 10 years, previously managing care services for people living with dementia, acquired brain injuries and complex physical illnesses. His area of specialisation is clinical best practice and mental capacity and he is passionate about working in the best interests of people who can’t always make decisions about their own care.

Age 32, Kad has three children and is engaged to be married in October. In his spare time, he enjoys playing a wide range of sports, particularly basketball, walking his French Bulldog puppy and travelling.
