Windlesham Care Home celebrates national recognition with prestigious awards nomination for home manager

Orchard Manor Care Home in Windlesham, Surrey, is celebrating after General Manager Jamila Faerber has been shortlisted as a finalist for the coveted ‘Care Home Registered Manager’ award at the London regional finals of the Great British Care Awards 2025.

This nomination recognises Jamila’s exceptional leadership, her profound commitment to the care sector, and her unwavering dedication to enhancing the lives of residents. With over 18 years of experience in care, including more than a decade as a Registered Manager, Jamila brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of excellence to her role at Orchard Manor.

Jamila’s leadership philosophy is rooted in the belief that “life doesn’t stop at a certain age or when someone moves into a care home.” Under her guidance, she and her team are passionately committed to delivering personalised, dignified and resident-led care, ensuring every individual continues to live a fulfilling and enriched life.

Jamila’s expertise is further underscored by her previous success in leading another care home to an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) – a testament to her high standards and dedication to exemplary care.
