Jewish Care scooped Gold and Silver awards at last night’s on Thursday 12 September at the  Employer Brand Management Awards 2024 (Europe).

The health and social care charity won Gold in the Best Employer Brand Management in the Charity, NGO or NFP Sector and Silver in the Best Employer Brand Management from the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Sector, supported by WeLove9am who have partnered with Jewish Care in their employer brand journey.

Jewish Care CEO, Daniel Carmel-Brown, says, “We are delighted to win these awards for our employer brand, Love: everyday.

“At Jewish Care, every day, we value and support our talented team of over 1,200 staff in just the same way as we value the people we care for, and that’s why we call our employee brand Love: everyday.

“We recognise the dedication of our incredible staff in delivering care and support, touching the lives of 12,000 people each week.

“We acknowledge their dedication, hard work, and round-the-clock care that they provide to older people in the community every single day, with a higher rate of pay for the vital work they do.  Though it is a challenging time to recruit staff across the social care sector we continue to recruit and retain staff and have a higher average rate of staff retention than the sector in general, which results in greater consistency of care, reducing spend in agency staff and making Jewish Care a great place to work.

“Whilst we care for the Jewish community, our employees come from all faiths, backgrounds and from many nationalities, making Jewish Care a truly special employer and a beacon of light.

“We are incredibly grateful to The Wohl Legacy for their continued generous contribution towards helping Jewish Care to remain the employer of choice in the care sector through a commitment to align with the London Living Wage for all frontline staff.”
