The Training Hub by Skills for Care has launched a new statutory and mandatory training bundle, bringing together essential learning in one accessible package designed specifically for adult social care.
The new eLearning bundle has been developed by Skills for Care, the organisation behind the statutory and mandatory training guidance used across the adult social care sector. Aligned to part 1 of that guidance, it provides employers with a trusted way to deliver the essential learning their workforce needs to work safely, confidently and effectively.
By bringing eight key training topics together in one place, the bundle makes it simpler for employers to manage induction and refresher learning, while giving staff practical, interactive training that reflects the realities of everyday care.
Created specifically for adult social care, the bundle provides sector-led learning to help staff build the knowledge they need to work safely, confidently and effectively. The training uses accessible, interactive content and practical examples from everyday care settings, helping learners understand how to apply their knowledge in their day-to-day role.
The bundle includes six core eLearning modules identified within part 1 of Skills for Care’s statutory and mandatory training guidance for all adult social care workers:
- Health and safety awareness
- Fire safety awareness
- Moving and handling objects
- Introduction to infection prevention and control
- Adult safeguarding awareness
- Child safeguarding awareness
It also includes two additional modules that may be required depending on a worker’s role and responsibilities:
- Principles of medication administration
- Food hygiene awareness (available later in 2026)
Learners can complete the modules at their own pace and in the order that best meets their learning needs. Each module includes a knowledge check and certificate on completion.
Jenny Paton, Director of Strategy and Commercial, Skills for Care, says:
“Employers are looking for learning that is trusted, relevant and easy to access. As the organisation that developed the statutory and mandatory training guidance for adult social care, Skills for Care is uniquely placed to provide learning that reflects sector expectations, supports the Adult Social Care Workforce Strategy for England, and aligns with CQC’s revised inspection framework.
This new bundle gives providers confidence that all their statutory and mandatory training needs are covered, while offering engaging, practical learning that helps staff apply their knowledge in day-to-day practice. By bringing essential learning together in one place, it makes it easier for employers to support workforce development, high-quality care and better outcomes for people who draw on care and support.”
The Statutory and mandatory training part 1 bundle provides approximately five hours of eLearning and is available for £39.50. Individual modules can also be purchased separately, giving employers the flexibility to choose the training that best meets the needs of their workforce.
The bundle is available now through The Training Hub by Skills for Care.
