Are you employed in the homecare sector and happen to possess a knack for ventriloquism or the gift of bringing the house down with laughter? If so, entries are now open for a new talent show with a twist – exclusively available to those working in homecare. Homecare’s Got Talent (HCGT) is on the hunt for caregivers whose talents go beyond their role, aiming to celebrate the remarkable people who devote their lives to caring for others.HCGT extends invitations to homecare workers from businesses across the UK to showcase their talents, be it singing, dancing, juggling, acting, miming, or even cheese-eating – talent knows no bounds for this spectacle! If you own and run a homecare business, you can sign up to include your carers at www.homecaresgottalent.co.uk.
“We know that homecare workers are some of the hardest working and most talented people in social care,” said Dan Archer, UK CEO of Visiting Angels. “It’s crucial to ensure that they are recognised, and HCGT is a great way to ensure recognition for carers across the entire sector.
“When you support people in their own home, you need to think fast and utilise sometimes remarkable talents to best support the people that you care for. We want to recognise their talents beyond caregiving and truly celebrate what makes our carers unique.”Over the next four months, HCGT will host regional judging in London, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Scotland. Homecare workers displaying exceptional talent will advance to the national final, where they will have the opportunity to compete for a grand prize package. This includes £1,000 in cash, an all-inclusive holiday for two, an exclusive chance to mingle with an esteemed panel of judges, and the chance to perform at a live event to an audience of thousands.
“At Radfield Home Care, we’re thrilled to be a part of HCGT,” said Alex Green, Managing Director. “We can’t wait to see the amazing things that our nation’s brilliant care professionals have to show everyone. It’s so important to take every opportunity to celebrate care professionals who work hard every day to make other people’s lives better.”
A panel of judges, including some exciting household names, will be on standby to go through the incredible videos sent in from homecare workers across the country. If chosen, they will advance to the regional finals – conveniently hosted in the North, Midlands and South of England.
“I’m super excited to be part of the HGCT initiative,” said Amrit Dhaliwal, CEO and Founder of Walfinch. “This is about celebrating care workers and all of those within the sector that make a huge change to the lives of millions of people. I’m thrilled to be able to showcase how much fun we have in homecare.”
“At Sylvian Care, we know home care professionals excel in their dedication to caring for others,” said Co-CEO Cristina Grancea. “But beyond their exceptional caregiving skills, they possess a wealth of hidden talents. Join us in celebrating these remarkable individuals through HCGT and discover the extraordinary in the everyday.”
