The care team at Redcot, the Haslemere-based residential care home run by charity, Friends of the Elderly, is launching a Blue Light Breakfast Club to say thank you to all members of the Haslemere emergency services for their hard work and commitment to the local community.
The Club will be launching on Friday 14th June and will be open from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Guests will be able to choose from a wide selection of tasty options to either eat-in or take away, including breakfast rolls, pastries and warm beverages – and even enjoy a full English Breakfast.
The Redcot Blue Light Breakfast Club is open to all members of the emergency services, NHS workers and Blue Light Card Holders. “We wanted to show our appreciation to all our local emergency services, NHS workers and Blue Light Card Holders for all their untiring support, thoughtfulness and dedication they give to our community and care home,” said Jan Daly, Redcot’s Registered Manager.
“We thought that by hosting a regular Blue Light Breakfast Club it would be lovely way to give something back to everyone in the emergency services who support our community in so many ways each and every day.”
The Redcot Blue Light Breakfast Club will be open to all emergency workers – Paramedics, members of the Police Force, Firefighters, NHS employees, Community District Nurses, Key Workers, Community Health Workers, Blood Bike Drivers, Doctors – and anyone who holds a Blue Light Card.
“The Blue Light Breakfast Club is a way for all of us at Redcot to physically show and acknowledge the essential role our local emergency services, NHS and Blue Light Card Holders play. It will also be a wonderful and interactive experience for our residents.
“Social interactions are very important for our residents. Having the opportunity to engage in a conversation with our guests at the Blue Light Breakfast Clubs will be a great activity for our residents to get involved with and enjoy,” Jan continued.
The Redcot Blue Light Breakfast Club will launch on Friday 14th June at 9 a.m. and all guests should be in uniform or have evidence they work for the NHS or emergency services – or produce their Blue Light Card.
Dates for the July and August Redcot Blue Light Breakfasts are Friday 19th July and Friday 16th August and the dates for the rest of the year will be advertised, so nobody will miss out.
“All our local emergency services, NHS workers and Blue Light Card Holders are our Haslemere community heroes. The work they do to support our community 24/7 is amazing. It’s just a small way to say thank you and we hope that everyone who joins us at our Blue Light Breakfast Club enjoys the tasty morning menu and keeps coming back for more as it will be lovely to see them all on a regular basis,” concluded Jan.
