Sally Warren has been appointed as Director General for Adult Social Care at the Department of Health and Social Care.
Samantha Jones, Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health and Social Care said:
“I am delighted to announce that Sally Warren has been appointed Director General (DG) for Adult Social Care.
“Sally has been Interim DG for Adult Social Care since July 2025, prior to which she was DG for the 10 Year Health Plan. As a former Director of Adult Social Care at the department, with extensive experience of working across health and care, Sally brings huge expertise to the role and is an excellent addition to our new Joint Executive Team.
“Sally takes on the permanent role with immediate effect and we look forward to working with her on reforming Adult Social Care and building a care system fit for the future.”
