Morris Care Homes connect with community for national open week

Four Nursing Homes in Shropshire and Cheshire are welcoming their local communities into their homes as part of Care Home Open Week (Monday 27th June to 3rd July 2022).

The popular annual event, which is hosted by Championing Social Care, sees more than 1,000 care homes come together to showcase their offering to local communities, future residents and their families. It also shines a light on the range of career opportunities available within the care sector.

Morris Care’s Oldbury Grange Nursing Home, near Bridgnorth kicked off the week of events with a visit from Madam Mayor Karen Sawbridge who took a tour of the Home on Monday 27th June 2022

Other Morris Care Homes taking place include Corbrook Park, near Market Drayton on Wednesday 29th June, Isle Court Nursing Home in Bicton on Friday 1st July, and Radbrook Nursing Home in Radbrook on Wednesday 13th July.

A range of events are planned, including tours around the Nursing Home, entertainment from some of the resident’s favourite performers, a selection of food and drink, and activity demonstrations from Social Life Co-Ordinators.
